Emergency

Prepare, Plan, Stay Informed

September is National Preparedness Month

September is National Emergency Preparedness Month and it is recommended that citizens develop an emergency preparedness plan which includes a preparedness 'kit'. The kit is basically a stock of food, water, medicinal items, first aid supplies, an all hazard/weather radio and other items that will help citizens address the challenges of an emergency.

Our Delhi Civic Association Member, Mr. Matt Maly has been active with the red cross as a shelter supervisor and was the emergency preparedness coordinator for 37 years with the Shriners Hospital and have seen the need for emergency preparedness. He will be a great resource for information and has directed us to the following web resources. fema.gov, cdc.gov, ready.gov or redcross.org.
